What is clear lacquer used for on cars? (Also known as clearcoat)
Clear lacquer gives car paint a high gloss finish. Protects the new paint from the elements and helps it to blend with the existing paint. Clear lacquer also come is various sheen levels including matt and satin.
What is the difference between and 1K and 2K clear lacquers? (Clearcoats)
2K paint or clearcoat requires a separate hardener (sometimes called an activator) whereas 1K products do not. 2K products are also generally considered a tougher, more hard wearing finish. Please be aware that 2k / 2pack products should be used with an airfed mask.
