What are hand etch pads?
Flexible sanding material suitable for profiled/contoured surfaces - paint, lacquer, varnish, metal, wood and composites. Suitable for keying in surfaces and provides an excellent base for the next layer of material to adhere to. They can also be used wet to minimise dust.
What are soft hand pads used for? (Also known as sanding sponges)
Soft sanding sponges and flexible pads like Mirka Goldflex have been developed for sanding profiled surfaces and irregular, difficult-to-reach details by hand. Goldflex Soft Pads are especially useful within the automotive industry. Soft sanding sponges have become increasingly popular in the woodworking industry. These are available in different grits.
